We work with young people aged 8-25, particularly those facing social, emotional, educational, or economic barriers.

Volunteering & Mentorship
Anyone over 16 with a passion for supporting youth. A valid WWCC is required.
Not necessarily. We provide full training and welcome those with lived experience.
All volunteers receive structured guides, full training, and ongoing support from CALM Youth staff.

Via school referrals, community organisations, or direct application.
Yes, we regularly partner with schools, clubs, councils, and services.
Typically referred by teachers, wellbeing staff, or support workers.
Safety & Child Protection
Yes. All staff and volunteers are trained and hold valid WWCCs.
We follow strict safeguarding policies around supervision, communication, and reporting.
Impact & Evaluation
We use evaluations, reflections, and feedback to assess growth in confidence, leadership, and resilience.
Funds support program delivery, volunteer training, youth resources, and expanding CALM Youth’s reach.
Program Delivery & School Engagement
CALM Youth will always aim to accommodate unavoidable changes. However, it is the school’s responsibility to ensure sessions are scheduled without clashes. If a session needs to be rescheduled more than three times, CALM Youth reserves the right to forfeit that session.
Each program session is designed to fit within a standard school period (typically 45-60 minutes), unless otherwise arranged.
Our sessions are led by trained CALM Youth facilitators and mentors with lived experience and appropriate training. All hold valid Working With Children Checks.
Yes. We adjust our content and delivery to suit the age, developmental stage, and goals of the cohort.
Yes. Each program includes post-program surveys to assess growth in areas like confidence, resilience, and leadership. Schools receive a summary report.
Yes. For selected programs, we include parent involvement in celebration events or parallel sessions.
Ideal group size is 10-25 students. We can accommodate larger or smaller groups with adjusted delivery. Our smallest session has been with a group of 5 and our largest being 300.
